Bengali Salmon Curry

In Bangladesh, fish is a staple along with rice and lentils. In this curry, the salmon has been joined by lemon, garlic, and tomato, which creates a fresh, tasty, and healthy dish that is quick to prepare.

How to do

  1. Mix the yogurt, lemon juice, curry and salt in a bowl. Cut the salmon fillets into large cubes and leave to marinate in the marinade for 15 minutes in the fridge.
  2. Heat a wok with oil and fry the salmon cubes for 3 minutes. Put aside.
  3. Peel and slice the onion and garlic finely. Heat a wok with oil and fry the onion for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the spice paste and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring. Add 1 dl of water to prevent the spices from burning.
  5. Stir in tomatoes, 2 dl water and fish stock and let cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Add coconut milk, potatoes and salmon pieces.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with raita and rice.
