Mango paneer sizlar
Sizlar is an Indian & Bengali dish consisting of fried vegetables served with tandoori grilled skewers of lamb, chicken, or the Indian cheese paneer. Mango and paneer are the main ingredients in this sizzler which is inspired by South Bengali cuisine where the food contains a lot of coconut milk & exotic fruits.

400 gramPaneer cheese (halloumi works well too)

½ tskTurmeric

1 tskShanti's Tikka Spice

1 mskGhee (melted butter works well too)

1 tskLemon juice

300 gShredded vegetables of your choice, e.g. white cabbage, sugar peas, broccoli, red pepper

2 mskRapeseed oil

50 gramFresh spinach

5 stCherry tomatoes, halved

1 dlThawed frozen diced mango

½ tskBarbecue seasoning
How to do
- Heat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Cut the cheese into 5 cm long sticks and place in a bowl. Sprinkle turmeric, tick spice and drizzle over ghee and a few drops of lemon juice. Leave to marinate for 15 minutes.
- Thread the cheese lengthwise through a wooden skewer. Grill directly on the oven rack in the middle of the oven for 15 min.
- Shred the vegetables and place on a plate. Heat a wok and add the oil. Stir-fry the vegetables on high heat for about 3 minutes. Add the spinach, cherry tomatoes and mango pieces and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Arrange the stir-fried vegetables on a large platter and place the paneer skewers on top. Serve the dish with a tikka sauce and raita.
